About Punt Queer

Punt Queer is a national organization committed to supporting LGBTIQ+ individuals and strengthening the position of the LGBTIQ+ community within Dutch society. We aim to create a safe, visible, and accessible point of contact for anyone seeking information, advice, or support on issues related to sexual and gender diversity.

The idea for Punt Queer arose from a clear need: while the Netherlands hosts many valuable initiatives for LGBTIQ+ rights, these efforts are often local and fragmented. This makes it difficult for people to know where to turn for help, to share experiences, or to report discrimination. Punt Queer was founded to connect these fragmented efforts and to function as a national hub — a central place where individuals and professionals alike can find reliable information, report discrimination, and be directed to the right resources.

Our mission is to empower LGBTIQ+ people by ensuring that their voices are heard and their rights protected. We believe that equality is not achieved through tolerance alone but through active inclusion and visibility. Punt Queer works to combat discrimination and to promote a society where everyone — regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression — can live freely and authentically.

Our vision is a Netherlands in which diversity is celebrated and every individual can participate fully and safely in public life. Punt Queer stands for connection, equality, and pride — for everyone, everywhere.
